Media Coverage: Experts Share Hot Car Safety Tips During Summer Peak
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, more than one thousand children have died of heatstroke when left or trapped in a hot car over the past 25 years.
As we head into the second half of July, Saint Luke’s clinical staff are stressing the importance of hot car safety, especially for those youngest passengers who use car seats. Courtney Kisor and Shellie Barnett, educators at Saint Luke’s East Hospital, talked with KCTV and KMBC about steps caregivers can take to avoid these tragedies.
