Saint Luke’s provides a full continuum of specialized inpatient and outpatient rehab and is recognized as a regional leader for several programs that provide a seamless transition between inpatient and outpatient therapy. These programs include: 

LSVT Therapy

These evidence-based rehabilitation programs help improve voice quality and projection, as well as balance and motor control, for patients with Parkinson’s disease or other neurological conditions.

Outpatient Rehab

Patients seek help from the Saint Luke’s Outpatient Rehabilitation team for a variety of reasons. Many patients are just getting out of the hospital. Some are hoping to avoid surgery. Saint Luke's dedicated team of physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists are ready to help at one of our convenient locations.

Vestibular Balance Rehab

An exercise-based program developed by physical therapists specially trained to assess and treat vestibular disorders. The physical therapist will evaluate several aspects of overall balance function, including oculomotor function and response to position changes.

Sports Medicine Rehab

Some patients need outpatient rehab as a means of prevention and avoiding surgery. Others use it to transition out of the hospital. And some simply want to return to their best selves. No matter the reason, Saint Luke’s Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation teams are equipped to help patients resume their normal levels of activity.

Vision Rehab

During vision therapy, an occupational therapist, with experience in vision rehabilitation, provides education and exercises to help you adjust to vision changes, as well as treat ocular motility issues.

Cardiac Rehab

Saint Luke's offers outpatient cardiac rehabilitation, a comprehensive, medically supervised program that includes all components necessary for a full recovery from a cardiac hospitalization.

Driving Rehab

The Saint Luke’s driving rehabilitation program features occupational therapists dedicated to helping you return to safe driving following a medical condition, medical status change, or challenges related to the aging process.

Pediatric Rehabilitative Therapy

The Children’s SPOT (Speech, Physical, and Occupational Therapy) provides early and intensive rehabilitative therapy. Services are provided through programs specifically designed to meet the needs of young children with disabilities and developmental delays. Children served have a wide variety of diagnoses, including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, premature birth, chromosomal disorders, and other developmental delays.

The only comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation hospital of its kind in the Kansas City region, it features a 100,000-square-foot facility with 17 world-class robotic devices, an 11,000 square-foot outdoor therapy garden, gyms, and communal spaces for individualized therapies. One primary physiatrist and therapist works with each patient to ensure comfort and continuity of care throughout their stay and beyond.
