FOX4: Ancient Mummies Focus of Heart Research Led by Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute
Although heart disease is usually thought of as a modern-day condition, a new study shows the disease also plagued the lives of people from the ancient world.

FOX4 talked to Dr. Randall Thompson, lead author of the study and nuclear cardiologist at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute, about the decade-long study of ancient mummies.
